Typing into a field (e.g. a new thought) very slow ... using almost all CPU while doing it

Anonymous 13 years ago updated by Kevin Erath 13 years ago 2
Wiely ran great for a few days, then I noticed that typing into any field (e.g. a new though) was very slow ... meaning only a few characters showed up on the screen per second. To see what was going on, I opened the Task Manager and saw that CPU usage was extremely high, while typing. Seems like something (maybe some sort of refresh?) is happening after every character I type. Any thoughts? I love Wieldy, but this issue is making it almost impossible to work with :-(

Please check if you that your Color Bit Depth - Display Settings are set to True Color (32 bit). There is a bug in the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 when setting a reduced color bit depth (like 16bit), which causes WPF-Applications to run very slow on some systems.

Wow Kevin, that was exactly it! I changed to 32bit and Wieldy is running fine again. Thank you so much for the quick reply and the great piece of software.
