Use Wieldy directly from USB stick without installation on PC or network?

Anonymous 15 years ago updated by Kevin Erath 14 years ago 2
In want to use Wieldy on my work(school). Its not allowed to install myself a unknown software, because it could damage our systeem.
So when I can use wieldy directly from my stick and keep all the settings and stuff on my stick I can use it anywere. The next step for my is te put it in my dropbox( see website), than I have a virtual stick can use it everywhere, wihout loosing it and automatic synchronisation?

You can download the zip file of Wieldy. Just unzip the application, as there is no installation of Wieldy itself required. But the target system muss be running windows and also the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 must be installed prior using Wieldy. Unfortunately the installation requires admin rights. If the .NET Framework is installed on your schools system, then you can use Wieldy. Else you may need to ask the admins to install the Framework.

Hi Kevin, from the looks of the thread seems you decided to take a rest or retire. Like you to know your Interface is one of the best

Hi Kevin, from the looks of the thread seems you decided to take a rest or retire. However you have one of the best User interfaces for ToDo or Task scheduling. I would suggest you sell the program for $30.00 a license and maintenance of $15 to $20 a year which guaranties future upgrades and then update the Program on a continuous basis. I would be happy to pay as long as you continue to update and add enhancements. The look and feel is very User Friendly and intuitive. Thanks for reviewing

I couldn't start the application.

Anonymous 15 years ago updated by Kevin Erath 15 years ago 0
I couldn't start the application. Everytime I try I get a msg Wieldy.Client - Application error "The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application." That's as far as I got.

I'm sorry for the problems.

First thing you should verify is, that you have installed the .NET-Framework 3.5 SP1. Please ensure that the SP1 is installed.

-----

If you're unsure how to check this, you can download the .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool. The tool can be found at:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx

Just run the executable and verify that the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is working.

-----

Alternatively you can do the following:
1. Open the internet explorer
2. Enter the following string into your address bar: javascript:alert(navigator.userAgent)
3. A popup will show up. In this window search for the string: .NET CLR 3.5.30729

Is !Call tag = not Call? Are tags case sensitive?

Is !Call tag = not Call? Yes. !Call means that only actions are listed which have not assigned the tag Call.

Are tags case sensitive? No. Tags are case insensitive.

how to synchronize with outlook 2010 contacts

Anonymous 15 years ago updated by Kevin Erath 15 years ago 0
i am using outlook 2010 but do not know how to synchronize my contacts with wieldy. i have found the pst file, but just want to synchronize my contacts, not anything else. how do i do this?
Answer
Kevin Erath 15 years ago
Right now Wieldy will always sync your Contacts and your Calendar entries. The only option you have is that you can define a sync direction.

I have already a feature planned for the next release of Wieldy. This will allow you to configure which types (Contacts, Todos, Calendar Entries) you want to synchronize.

How can i translate wieldy in my native language (Portuguese)?
Answer
Kevin Erath 13 years ago
Unfortunately i don't speak portuguese so i would need your help.

I can send you an xml file with the english translations and you can change them to portuguese translations then. After that i can include the language with all future releases.

Just let me know if your willing to help me. Of course i will give you the credits for this.
